Katarina’s work evolves around experimentation in acrylics and different mediums. It centers on themes related to human beings and their existence creating a balanced and contemporary representation of the figure. Her interest builds around the process of the creation of an image, by revealing the layers that will bring the final painting together.

Human faces, busts, and bodies are the result of repetitive gestures and the superimposition of rich layers of paint; which evoke a feeling of uncertainty and impermanence of matter and life itself.

Katarina is a Chilean artist, living and working from Vietnam.
